On March 26 we finally were able to visit St. Joseph School in Camp Springs, KY. A snow storm canceled our first planned visit. This school has been open since the Civil War. You have to drive up a winding road to the top of a very steep hill. The church with its steeple reaching into the sky sits at the top of the hill. The school sits just below the church.

We read A Garden! A Garden! to the entire school - grades K through 8- 34 students! On most recent school visit was to St. Aloysius Gonzaga on October 29th. What an amazing group of students we had the pleasure of reading to at that school.

Thanks to all the teachers there! Ms. Wolfzorn for contacting us and making all the plans, plus the very photo savvy teachers who took charge of taking all the awesome pictures of this author/illustrator team. We can't tell you how much we enjoyed our visit.

Here we are with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders of St. Aloysius Gonzaga after they completed their masks of the rescued dog "Pumpkin."

If a picture tells a thousand words, I think this one says that Where's Pumpkin captured the children's attention.

Our older students receive a drawing lesson from Debbi. They get a hands on lesson in the art of the pen & ink techniques used by Debbi in her books.
